Currently in her 80s, Stevens suffers from dementia and has been living in an assisted living home in California where Kulick frequently visited and cared for her until he passed away in May of 2020.

Probably the most photographed women in film history and as you can see here, there was ample reason for that to have happened.

She was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi as Estelle Eggleston, the single child of Thomas Ellett Eggleston and his wife Dovey Estelle née Caro.
